WHITE CO., Ark. (KTHV) -- White County Sheriff's deputies say two men were hospitalized Thursday after being accidentally shot with the same rifle round.
Authorities say Jacob Morris, 30, and James Mitchell, 32, were sitting at the kitchen table at a home on Tom Conder Road in northern White County. According to the report a third man, 44-year-old Allen Lee King, was taking a rifle off a gun rack in the bedroom when the weapon accidentally discharged.
Deputies say the bullet went through the wall and into the kitchen, where it struck Morris in the shoulder. The report says the bullet exited through Morris' neck and struck Mitchell in the chest.
Both men are expected to make a full recovery. Deputies call King "negligent" in his handling of the firearm. The investigation is ongoing.
